Op 11, 12 en 13 juli staat de Indiase film opnieuw volop in de schijnwerpers tijdens de tweede van het Bollywood Summer Filmfestival, en ook in Cinema Amstelveen! De programmering staat dit jaar in het teken van iconische films uit vijf decennia Bollywood.

Dompel je onder in de exotische en kleurrijke cultuur van de Indiase film. Geniet van de opzwepende muziek en inspirerende Bollywood sterren bij jou in de bioscoop. Reis voor heel even met ons weg… naar het betoverende India. In Cinema Amstelveen zullen er twee filmtitels te zien zijn:

Bollywood Summer Film Festival On 11, 12 and 13 July, Indian film will once again be in the spotlight during the second of the Bollywood Summer Film Festival, and also in Cinema Amstelveen! This year's programming is dedicated to iconic films from three decades of Bollywood.

Immerse yourself in the exotic and colorful culture of Indian cinema. Enjoy the uplifting music and inspiring Bollywood stars in your cinema. Travel away with us for a moment... to enchanting India. In Cinema Amstelveen we will be showing two editions:

Seeta aur Geeta (1972) - saturday 12 july
Sholay (1975) - sunday 13 july

Seeta aur Geeta (1972)
Seeta is abused by her cruel aunt Kaushalya. Fed up with her cruelty, Seeta leaves the house one day and runs into Raka. Meanwhile, her doppelganger, Geeta, is arrested by the police and taken to Kaushalya. Geeta, unlike Seeta, is not afraid and soon takes control of the house.
