A unique concert with the Israeli composer Yoni Rechter

Rechter is one of the most well-known and appreciated Israeli composers who shaped the Israeli music heritage. Rechter cooperated with several famous artists such as Kaveret, Arik Einstein, Gidi Gov, Nurit Galron, Yehudit Ravits and many more with whom Rechter composed the music for Israeli poets such as Yehuda Amichay, David Grossman, Lea Goldberg, Natan Alterman, Ali Mohar, Yonathan Geffen.

Rechter connects music, poetry, art, tradition and history through his music and creates a style that forms an essential part of the Israeli and Hebrew culture. Over the years Rechter has written and arranged many works for the theatre, cinema and dance. Amongst his most famous works:
  • Musical director and Arrangements for the musical The King and the cobbler.
  • Composer of the children monumental show The Sixteenth lamb,  both displayed in the biggest theatre in Israel, 'Habima'.
In this concert, Rechter will perform his known songs with the kids of 'Concertino'.

2009 - Honorary Doctorate from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem 
2012 - Winner of the Israeli Theatre Prize for music for the play Private Investigator
